Bottles and other containers used in the cosmetic industry range from small, glass vial like containers to bigger plastic bottles. In addition, products may be thin liquids, thick liquids, gels or even powders. These variations mean that the filling equipment used to package cosmetics will vary from project to project.
Capping equipment used in the cosmetic industry can also take many shapes and forms, as the seal used for packages may vary almost as much as the products themselves, though screw type seals probably still remain the most popular closure. So while spindle and chuck cappers may be seen more often than other capping machines, other equipment - including custom built, project specific machines - will be used. Some projects may even combine more than one packaging function, including the capper, onto a monoblock system to save time and space. The monoblock packaging systems are most often seen when small container, such as vials, are being used for a product.
Other packaging equipment, such as labelers, cartoners, bundling machines and more, will also vary based on the product, package and other factors specific to each individual cosmetic packaging project. The cosmetic industry often uses some of the most aesthetically pleasing and unique packaging to be found in any industry, which creates a challenge and an opportunity for packaging machinery manufacturers like Liquid Packaging Solutions. We love the opportunity to work with our cosmetic partners to create something new, while keeping the packaging process simple and efficient. As the industry grows in the future, we look forward to continuing to serve our current cosmetic customers while meeting the challenge of some new friends!
